This month at Crafts Dreamy we had a beautiful mood board to work with that Zowie, the owner and a very creative artist, put together for us! Here is my creation based on the February mood board:
This is a vintage themed tag I made for the Crafts Dreamy Challenge Blog. I used an image from the wonderful Itkupilli. The tag is based on a shabby chic theme and has some beautiful colors! Anyone is welcome to submit an entry! Stop by and check out Zowie's blog https://craftsdreamy.blogspot.co.uk/ and come have some fun with us! I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the beginning of a new year. Take care!
Good morning and welcome! It's a snowy day out today and everything always looks so beautiful under a new layer. I'm sharing my design team projects with you today from the challenge blog Crafts Dreamy.
I love to re-purpose old boxes, broken/abandoned vintage items, tins, and sometimes even paper towel rolls! It's so much fun to take something that would normally end up in a recycle box and turn it into something useful or pretty. In this project I used an old jewelry box that I rescued from certain destruction!
I covered the box with scrapbook paper from Tim Holtz and Authentique. I also used several other rescued items which are the vintage millinery flowers from an old hat and the pine cones from an old Christmas floral display. I pick up my vintage treasures either at an estate sale, yard sale, or an auction. Here's a closer look at the inside:
Hello my friends and welcome to my new blog! I'm starting this year out with a new adventure. Over the last several years, I have discovered a love for collage. It all started through scrapbooking that I began in the early 2000's. I have traded my art/craft projects through different site swaps and art groups in many different countries and have pictures of most of my creations on my Instagram account. You can find a link on my side board. This blog will be a new part of my on going adventure and something I'm learning as I go. I would love for you to follow along on the journey!
Another new part of my journey is that I have been invited to be a design team member on a new and exciting art blog, Crafts Dreamy! This is a challenge blog and everyone is invited to join us! Here is a introduction to Zowie, the blog creator, and her new endeavor that I'm so excited and grateful to be a part of:
Welcome to Crafts Dreamy, a challenge blog. I am Zowie Dixon from the United Kingdom, a mother of three beautiful children who never fail to inspire me. I am a passionate crafter and have been crafting for 8 years.
Since ages now, I have been wanting to start a challenge blog as I love crafting and believe that art is for everyone, and is a great way to express oneself. So finally today, I have taken to my dream and have decided to start this new adventure!
Personally, I love Vintage and Shabby Chic style of crafting and this reflects a lot in my work. I also love mixed media and collage art. I have been a self-taught artist/crafter without any formal training and crafting does bring me a lot of joy.
The intention of Crafts Dreamy is to let you all play, craft and have fun. Every month we will bring to you a new mood-board with some fabulous inspirations from our Design Team members to get your creative juices flowing. This would be an ‘Anything Goes’ Blog and so we really look forward to seeing all your unique creations based on the boards.
Starting 15th of every month we will have a new mood-board to play with.
So watch out and do come back on the 15th of January for the very first challenge!
Looking forward to your creations and participation!
I hope all my friends are having a wonderful beginning to 2018 and would love to see you enter your creations at Crafts Dreamy or to just follow along and tell us what you think!
I'll be posting my Crafts Dreamy projects here and on my other social media sites along with whatever other project I'm working on.
